This term we are focusing on vocabulary development.
To make our writing more interesting we are learning about
- POWERFUL VERBS ( not the boring old 'run' but rather ' bolted, sprinted, catapulted' etc)
- ADJECTIVES ( like the huge, colourful, plastic parachute)
- ADVERBS ( like he walked quickly towards the door as he looked worryingly behind him)
We have been using pictures to get us inspired.
Here are TWO that we have used.
STUDENT SENTENCES
I can hear the water rustling as the bulls rush through it. -by Beth

PARACHUTE
We also went outside with a parachute to inspire us to write.

FIREWORKS!!!!
Here is the picture starter for writing about fireworks. Imagine you are the person taking the photo. Describe what is happening at that moment in time, the sound, small, taste, what you can see and feel.
